THE GUITAR

Guitar is a plucked string instrument, usually played with fingers or a pick.

The first known traces of instruments similar to the guitar dates back to 3000 BC. AD.

There are six strings in a guitar. Guitars are recognized as a primary instrument in genres such as blues, country, flamenco, jazz, jota, métal, reggae, rock, soul, and many forms of pop.

Today there are different styles of guitars : electric, classic and folk.

The first electric guitar was born in 1928. It was invented by Stromberg and Voisinet.

Each guitar is for a different style.

Guitar was created according to the model of a woman. The body of the guitar is as a female body and the head of the guitar is as the head of a woman

The sound of the guitar comes from its body.

Today guitar is a favourite intrument for many young because it's easy to transport and it's not very expensive. There is something for all tastes and it is an instrument for accompanying. My favorite guitarist is Marcel Dadi. He was a friend of my guitar's teacher's father .He died in a plane crash in 1996. He played rock but he had a revelation when he heard a song where Bob Dylan played picking (“Girl from the North country ” interpreted by Hugues Aufray in a French version). Picking is a guitar technique. I like it but it's difficult.
